Ara : Bhojpur police arrested Manoj Kumar Singh, son of Siyaram Singh of village Matiyara under Koelwar police station, from his village and sent him to jail on March 7, 2018, for allegedly raping a 5 year old girl four days ago. He is a floor manager at a Mall at Ara.
SHO, Koelwar police station, Pankaj Kumar Saini said that a 5 year old girl was raped at village Kayamnagar under Koelwar police station in the evening on March 3, 2018. She was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital as she was bleeding but the doctors there referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) as her private parts had suffered serious injury. The girl had told police about the identity of her tormentor.
The SHO said that Manoj Kumar Singh confessed that he had gone to meet her father on Holi day and on return drank ‘taadi’ (toddy). When returning, he saw the girl and took her to a nearby tree and outraged her modesty.
