Patna : England scored 159/8 in 20 overs against India in the first of three-match T20I series at Old Trafford, Manchester, UK, riding on a 46 ball 69 with 8 fours and 2 sixes by wicketkeeper and opener Jos Buttler.

Opener Jason Roy made 30 with 5 fours while Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow were out for duck. Captain Eoin Morgan scored 7 whie Alex Hales made 8. David Willey made 29 hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes. For India, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 5/24 while pacer Umesh Yadav took 2/21. Hardik Pandya took one wicket. India won the toss but opted to bowl.

In reply, India were 8/1 after  one over. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was bowled for 4 by Willey.
