Patna : Australia bundled out England for a paltry 67 runs in the first innings of the 3rd Ashes Test at Headingley, Leeds, UK, in the second session of play on Day 2 on August 23, 2019, with Josh Hazlewood taking 5/30 in 12.5 overs. Pat Cummins took 3/23 in 9 overs while James Pattinson took 2/9 in 5 overs.

Joe Denly was the lone England batsman to reach double figure mark (12). England captain Joe Root fell to Hazlewood for a duck while openers Jason Roy and Rory Burns made 9 each. All-rounder Ben Stokes fell to Pattinson for 8 while Jonny Bairstow (wk) fell to Hazlewood for 4. Jos Buttler also fell to Hazlewood for 5. Jofra Archer made 7 and Chris Woakes 5.

Australia were 44/2 in their second innings leading by 156 runs..
