Chhapra : An elephant killed its Mahawat Abdul Sai on Sunday near village Lahladpur under Chhapra police
station in Saran district -a-and damaged half dozen houses and handpumps located on roadside.According to police sources, the elephant was returning home at Lahladpur from an orchard near the village but suddenly turned violent.The mahawat started running on the road to save his life but he was caught by elephant and killed on the spot. The Environment and forest officials rushed to the village and controlled the tusker by firing tranquilizer shots.
