Elderly farmer shot dead by son at Samastipur village

Samastipur : Ankit Yadav of village Belsandi under Bithan police station in Samastipur district shot dead his father Umesh Yadav, 60, a farmer, in a property dispute on June 25, 2017.

Incharge DSP Vishwanath Paswan said that Umesh Yadav had heated exchange with his son Ankit Yadav at home over the issue of division of land. When Umesh Yadav refused to concede his demand for share in land, Ankit shot him dead. Police sent the body to Samastipur Sadar hospital for post-mortem and are conducting raids to arrest Ankit Yadav.
