Bettiah : Divakar Mahto, 60, and his wife Maina Devi of village Barawat under Bettiah muffasil police station in West Champaran district died on January 21 late night in a devastating fire which broke out suddenly at their house reducing it to ashes. The fire broke out when the couple was sleeping. Village sources said when they came to their rescue, the fire had engulfed the entire house. Muffasil police station SHO Jitendar Prasad reached the spot soon after the incident and the bodies were brought to MJK hospital, Bettiah, for autopsy.
