Elaborate arrangements made for Chandawa Mahayajna

Ara : Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Sri Ramanujacharya Sahastrabdi Mahotsava Sahastra Mahayajna cum Akhil Bharatiya Dharm Sammelan being organized at Chandawa about 3km west to Ara,  headquarters of Bhojpur district, from September 25 to October 5, 2017. Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar and SP Awkash Kumar held a meeting with the organizer of the sammelan Laxmi Prapann Jeer Swami on September 23.

To mark the 1,000^th birth anniversary of Jagadguru Sri 1008 Sri Ramanujacharya Swamin, Sri Ramanujacharya Sahastrabdi Mahotsava Sahastra Mahayajna cum Akhil Bharatiya Dharm Sammelan has been organized at Chandawa. At least 1100 preceptors of different religions from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Mayanmar besides from different parts of India such as Jagannathpuri, Kedarnath, Kanchipuram, Dwarika, Badrinath, Jeear Swami of Tirupati Balaji, Jeear Swami of Beluputra, Jain Sadhus, Buddh monks, dozens of sadhus and priests from South India will be participating at the vent.

At least 1,032 Yajna Mandaps have been made spread over about 6 km and over 7,224 priests and Yajmans will perform yajna from September 25 to October 5, 2017. Krishna Chandra Thakur and Prem Bhushan and Murari Bapu will deliver sermon on Sri Madbhagvat and Sri Ram Charitmanas side by side. About 6 lakh devotees are likely to watch and hear the vedic mantras. During the event, flowers and water from different pilgrimages of India will be sprinkled on the devotees and the Yajna Mandap from helicopters.

As the entire Yagya Mandap and Pandals are made of bamboos, grass, husk and clothes, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for fire resistant equipment at the site. Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar has opened a temporary police station named Sri Ramanujacharya Sahastrabdi Temporari police station’ at the main gate of the ‘Yajna City’ at Chandawa on NH 84 on Ara-Buxar main road to maintain law and order.
