Patna: A differently abled egg seller Shekhar Mahto (37) was shot dead in Mathani Taal locality under City Chowk police station late on February 3 evening. Police said that Shekhar used to sell eggs close to a tea shop of his brother Mukesh in Mathani Taal locality. On February 3, around 8 pm, a youth came to his shop and fired at him. The bullet pierced his chest. The assailant escaped from there unchallenged. Shekhar was rushed to NMCH where the doctors declared him brought dead. Police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
