New Delhi : The matter related to the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Nation on electronic media on March 27, 2019, afternoon has been brought to the notice of the Election Commission of India (ECI). The Commission has directed a Committee of Officers to examine the matter immediately in the light of Model Code of Conduct, according to a PIB release.
It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 27 announced that India had demonstrated anti-satellite missile capability by shooting down a live satellite at an altitude of 300 km in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), describing it as a rare achievement that puts the country in an exclusive club of space super powers. Opposition parties are complaining that PM Modi’s announcement of success Mission Shakti is a violation of Model Code of Conduct.
