Ara : Ritesh Kumar, son of Satyendra Singh of village Koransarai under Koransarai police station in Buxar district, committed suicide by hanging himself from the branch of a tree at village Karakhia under Tier police station in Bhojpur district.
Police recovered the body and brought it over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Tier police station in this connection but the reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
SHO, Tier Police Station, Subodh Kumar, said that Ritesh Kumar ran an eatery at Patna and had come to the place of in-laws of his sisters : Pinki and Nirmala, at village Karakhia under Tier police station on March 25, 2019. The SHO said that Ritesh came out of his sisters’ house on March 28, 2019, evening, but did not return. On March 29 morning, the villagers saw his body hanging from the branch of a tree at the village and informed police.
