Dularpur murder case accused surrenders before Ara court

Ara : Under mounting pressure of police, Bikas Kumar, a named accused in the murder of Munna Kumar of village Dularpur under Ayar police station, surrendered before an Ara court on October 9, 2017, and was sent to jail under judicial custody though three other named accused are still at large.

SHO, Ayar police station, Awadh Kishore said that four friends of Munna Kumar, 28, son of Kamta Singh of Dularpur village took him to the outskirts of the village for merrymaking in the evening on September 11, 2017, but Munna Kumar did not return home and police later recovered a decomposed body near Mathia Ganga ghat under Barhara police station on September 21, 2017, and the family members identified Munna by his clothes. Police had sent for DNA test samples of Muna Kumar’s body and blood of his father to the Forensic Science Laboratory to ascertain the identity but the DNA has not yet been received.

The wife of the deceased, Lalita Devi had lodged a named FIR against Ramesh Kumar, Bikas Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar and Pappu Pal in this regard. The SHO said that reason behind the incident has still not been ascertained and police will take Bikas Kumar on remand to know the reason behind the murder of Munna Kumar.
