DSO incharge Bhojpur suspended

Ara : Bhojpur District Supply Officer (DSO) incharge Kumar Bimal was suspended for dereliction of duty on the direction of the Minister, Food and Consumer Protection, Madan Sahani, on May 3, 2017.

The government has also ordered for departmental proceedings against Mithilesh Kumar, assistant District Supply Officer (ADSO), Dumraon in Buxar district, and Praveen Kumar Sinha, ADSO, Buxar. The minister asked for opinion of the Buxar DM on the reply of DSO, Buxar, Shishir Kumar Mishra, to the show cause served on him  before taking action against him. Ministr Madan Sahani had visited Ara and Buxar in December 2016 and had detected irregularities in the functioning of district supply offices at Ara and Buxar.

DSO incharge, Bhojpur, Kumar Bimal allegedly did not start distribution of foodgrains of October and November 2016 till December 2016. The foodgrains were given to some persons without coupons. The dealers, allegedly on his direction, realized Rs 49 each from Antyodaya card beneficiaries.
