Bagaha : A K Kashyap, Divisional railway manager (DRM), Varanasi, under North East railway (NER), Gorakhpur, on December 30, 2016, detected gross irregularities in construction works for boundarywall, expansion and upgradation of platform at Paniyahawa railway station in UP during an inspection. He detected use of grade three bricks instead grade one and bungling in the use of cement and sand in the work. The DRM ordered a thorough probe into the matter.

DRM Kashyap also inspected Bagaha-Chhitauni Gandak rail cum road bridge under jurisdiction of Varanasi rail division.The DRM was accompanied by an assistant divisional rail engineer Akhileshwar Mani Tripathi, Senior divisional security  officer Mehtab Hussain and Traffic inspector Sanjiv Dwevedi. The locals includeing Ramsanehi  Prasad, Narbada Upadhya, Vijay Gupta and other met the DRM and demanded restoration of Chhitauni railway station.
