Dhanbad: After several days of ‘Gandhigiri’ pleading with drivers of four – wheeler and two- wheelers not to flout traffic rules, cops of almost all police stations of urban police stations on Saturday carried a massive drive on the direction of Dhanbad SP Manoj Ratan Chote to catch traffic rule flouters and seized more than 75 motorcycles, 60 autos and 25 cars found violating traffic rules.
Triple loaded moving motorcyclists besides those driving two- wheelers without wearing helmets were nabbed while auto drivers driving without having proper documents including paying tax token, proper driving license, lack of insurance documents were also punished and their vehicles were seized and taken to police station.Cars moving with tinted glass or without number plate were also seized from several places of Dhanbad including at Bank Mor, near DC office, Putki, ISM and other places
According to Dhanbad Sergent major Om Prakash, ” Till now more than Rs 48,000 have been realized as fine but this figure will increase as dozens of more two- wheelers, three- wheelers and four- wheeler are coming to different police station zones.”
“We started with Gandhigiri followed by issue of warning asking people to folow traffic rules and now its time for action and this drive will contiune on daily basis to teach lessons to traffic rule flouters,” said the Sergent major.
