Dr Rajiv Kumar appointed Vice- Chairperson, NITI Ayog

New Delhi : The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved appointment of Dr Rajiv Kumar as Vice-Chairperson, National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, until further orders on the same terms and conditions as were applicable to the previous Vice-Chairperson, NITI Aayog. It has accepted the request of Dr Arvind Panagaria to relieve him from the post of Vice-Chairperson, NITI Aayog, with effect from August 31, 2017. NITI Ayog is a policy think -tank established by NDA government replacing Planning Commission.

The appointment of Dr Vinod K. Paul as Member, NITI Aayog, on the same terms and conditions as are applicable to the other full-time Members of the NITI Aayog, has also been approved by the ACC, according to a PIB release.
