Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : With an objective to bring out the best out of every child, Delhi Public School (DPS) Chas, Bokaro, in Jharkhand, on December 17, 2017, organised a grand Parenting Seminar handled by noted Bindu Selot, a passionate professional, an author, parent counsellor and wellness expert.
Bindu Selot, in her deliberation brought out all the essential steps which can be taken by the parents for the welfare and proper overall development of their children. She discussed ‘Growth Mindset Parenting’ which means that the parents should focus on the process of their child’s learning. Emotions of the child must be validated very carefully by the parents i.e. children must not be differentiated on the basis of their gender in their early childhood, she said.
She emphasised that it is the responsibility of the parents to give their children their own space.The child also needs positive attention of their parents.She suggested the parents for “Me Time” in order to bring a decrement in on screen activities which is diverting the child. This will in turn prove a boon for their child’s overall development. The seminar was attended by more than 1,000 parents who were happy to get an opportunity to interact with the parent counsellor and discuss the issues pertaining to their children.
Hemlata S Mohan, President of Sohadaya School Complex and Director and Principal, Delhi Public School, Bokaro, was the chief chief guest on this occasion who suggested all the parents to become a facilitator which would help the child move forward.
