Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro students brought accolades to the school by securing 2nd position at the National  Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) Quiz Competition held on February 28, 2017, at Doordarshan Bhawan, New Delhi. Sagar Mishra (Class 10) and Priyam Harsh (Class 9) led the school emerge as the first runner up in the final round of ‘Saksham’ quiz out of four teams.

Executive Director of PCRA, Alok Tripathi, awarded the winners a cash prize of Rs 15,000 each along with a laptop and a Certificate of Merit. P Ashok, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation, was also present on the occasion. Hemlata S Mohan, Director and Principal of DPS Bokaro, expressed her immense happiness on the outstanding performance of  Sagar and Priyam and wished them to do even better in the future. The competition was organized by PCRA run under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.

PCRA, committed to make oil conservation a National Movement, conducts various competitions with an aim to raising awareness among young minds about conservation of fuel and environment protection including practical conservation tips for the conservation of petroleum products.
