DPS Bokaro Celebrates Annual Function ‘NAKSHTRA 2019’

Bokaro (Jharkhand) : To acknowledge the academic brilliance of the students, DPS Bokaro organised its Annual Function cum Felicitation Ceremony- NAKSHTRA- on November 14, 2019, with great fanfare at Ashwaghosh Kala Bhawan. Altogether 375 students were awarded certificates and  badges whereas 29 students were awarded gold medals for exceptional performance in the academic session 2018-19.

Md. Shakir, Principal  District & Sessions Judge, Bokaro, was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Mukul Prasad, ED (P&A), BSL, and Pro-Vice Chairman, Managing Committee, DPS Bokaro, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. The event witnessed the gracious presence of Usha Prasad.

The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of  the lamp followed by the welcome song and the school song along with an  orchestra performance ‘Togetherness’ to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The day not only reflected the school’s exceptional achievements  but also showcased the various initiatives undertaken by it to sensitise the children to be a better version of themselves. In a beautifully choreographed dance performances ‘Prakriti Vandana’ and ‘Rudra Tandav’, the students exhibited their artistic flair. On this occasion the high achievers of Deepansh Shiksha Kendra were felicitated. Sweaters were distributed to students of class 1.

The welcome address was delivered by Samriddh Ranjan (Head Boy) while the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Tishya Vishwanathan (Head Girl). 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Md. Shakir, Principal  District & Sessions Judge, Bokaro, congratulated the students on their accomplishment and encouraged those who could not make it this time. He suggested the children to be strong to face the challenges of life and to work constantly to reach their goal. He urged parents to understand the needs of their growing children and assist them to decide and walk on their chosen path. He acknowledged the contribution of DPS Bokaro in providing holistic education and preparing youth for a challenging tomorrow. “DPS Bokaro is giving the best opportunity to each student in the field of academics and extracurricular activities and all the students must avail of this golden chance,” suggested Md Shakir.

Mukul Prasad also congratulated the children and added that DPS Bokaro has grown to be an internationally acclaimed institution as it is giving the best to each individual which is the reason it has been adjudged as the best school. 

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S  Gangwar, said, “Children are the focal point of our existence  and we constantly look for new ways to make learning engaging and exciting.” He added that he expects the students to maintain the legacy and grow as  a responsible citizens which is the sole objective of learning and education at DPS Bokaro.
