Bokaro (Jharkhand) : DPS Bokaro celebrated the 71st Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. A S Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, unfurled the national flag and extended his warm greetings of  Republic Day to all the teachers, students, and staff members of the school.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Gangwar said, “The Republic Day is a day of pride for all of us. It is a day to remember when India’s constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country’s transition toward becoming an independent Republic.”

“On this historic day, let us pledge to respect each other irrespective of the differences and stand united to work for the glory of our motherland,’ urged Gangwar.

Adding zeal and enthusiasm to the celebration, the student council members, teachers, and students sang a number of patriotic songs on the occasion.

Later in the day at the Inter School Song competition organized by District Education Office, Bokaro, on the occasion of Republic Day at Bokaro Club,  DPS Bokaro team comprising Anjdeepta Maan, Naina Priyadarshi, Ojaswi, Akshita Pathak, Anwesha Ganguly, Shreya Thakur, Shreya Kaushik, Hardik Shree, Ayushman Praveen, Aman Akshat, Arman, Arundhati Deshmukh, Anushka Ganguly, Sonali Priya, and Anushka Ranjan bagged the first runners- up trophy. Several schools of the city participated at the competition on the theme ‘Patriotism’.
