Bokaro (Jharkhand) : To inculcate an aesthetic sense among the students and to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, DPS Bokaro in Jharkhand has organised Rang-Smriti National Art Camp and Exhibition 2020 on the school premises in association with ONGC and India Telling from January 27 to 30, 2020.
The event commenced with the arrival and welcome of Chief Guest R P Pandey, Asset Manager, ONGC, Coal Belt, Mission Project, Bokaro, and Art Curator Abhishek Kashyap, founder of Art Organization India Telling. The occasion was graced by noted artists from across the country including Ravindra Kumar Das, Anjali Prakash, Ramanuj Shekhar, Dipankar Karmakar, Binita Bondopadhyay, Lalit Kumar Sharma, and Rajesh Ranjan.
Chief Guest R P Pandey said that the story of every decade is told through the art of that time and isĀ a parameter to see the truth of the society.
Appreciating the initiative, Art Curator Abhishek Kashyap said that the camp is the first of its kind in Jharkhand. He emphasised on the importance of art as portrayed by Gandhi.
“This camp was an opportunity for the budding artists to explore and express their talents through creativity and colours. By engaging in such artistic activities children develop confidence and also learn to innovate. It provided a wonderful platform to the students to learn under the guidance of the maestros,” saidĀ Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar.
