Double murder case in Munger

Patna : A woman and a young man were found dead at Munger with their skulls blown away by gunshots. The bodies of Mohammed Asif and Twinkle were recovered from Sadar block premises in Mofussil police station area, Munger,  on September 20, 2019, evening, police said. Twinkle is a close relative of an RJD MLA.

Twinkle, who was living in Delhi for some time preparing for medical entrance tests, had come home, according to Munger SP Gaurav Mangla. Asif was a local resident whose father works in Saudi Arabia. Initially, police had said that it appears to be case of  failed love affair. Munger is about 180 km away from Patna.

Later, it emerged that Asif’s friend, Danish accompanied by some of his associates allegedly tried to rape the woman, but faced stiff resistance from the two, police said and added in a fit of rage, Danish shot them dead and escaped. Police have nabbed Danish and interrogated him. Police also recovered the pistol used in the incident and the mobile phones of the deceased from Danish.
