Dhanbad (Jharkhand) :  After getting reports that Dhanbad Municipal Corporation (DMC) only   collects 18 % of its corporation tax, the corporation has decided to send its team for door to door campaign using drums to tell the residents to clear their tax dues.

Sources revealed that DMC should get more than Rs 100 crore as corporation tax but collects hardly Rs 18 crore per annum. DMC Mayor Chandrashekhar Agrwal said that before he was elected to this post, the corporation  was hardly receiving Rs 4 crores which has now increased to Rs 18 crore. ” We will start door to door campaign to get tax dues back to DMC kitty,” said the mayor.
