Patna : Top seed Novak Djokovic, Serbia, 13th seed Andrey Rublev, Russia, 15th seed Karen Khachanov, Russia, unseeded Marton Fucsovics, Hungary, advanced to the 4th round round at French Open, a Grand Slam tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at Roland Garros, Paris, France, on October 3, 2020, night.

Djokovic, the winner of 17 Grand Slam singles titles, beat unseeded Daniel Elahi Galan, 24, Colombia, in straight sets 6-0, 6-3, 6-2 in 3rd round winning 7 break points and 8 games in a row in the match. Djokovic, the 2016 French Open champion, won 102 points to 66 by Galan, a qualifier. Galan though fired 4 Aces to 2 by the Serbian. Both the players committed 2 double faults each. Djokovic will face 15th seed Karen Khachanov in 4th round on October 5, 2020.

Khachanov, 24, defeated 20th seed Cristian Ignacio Garin, 24, Chile, in four-sets 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in third round. The Russian won 8 break points in the match to 4 by Garin. Khachanov, in all, won 121 points to 98 by Garin. The Russian won 4 games in a row to 3 by Chilean. Khachanov committed 2 double faults to 5 by the Chilean.

Rublev, 22, beat Kevin Anderson, South Africa, in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 in third round winning 5 break points and 3 games in a row in the match. Rublev won 83 points to 56 by the South African. Rublev had reached the QFs at US Open this year.

Fucsovics defeated Thiago Monteiro, 26, Brazil, in straight sets 7-5, 6-1, 6-3 in 3rd round winning 7 games in a row in the match. The Hungarian won 7 break points in the match to 2 by Monteiro. Fucsovics won 107 points to 77 by Monteiro, who had stunned 31st seed Nikoloz Basilashvili, Georgia, in first round.

Qualifier Daniel Altmaier, 22, Germany, stunned 7th seed Matteo Berrettini, 24, Italy, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4 in third round. Altmaier won 4 break points to 1 by the Italian. Altmaier won 100 points in the match to 87 by Berrettini. The German won 3 games in a row to 2 by the Italian. Altmaier fired 4 Aces in the match to 5 by Berrettini. The German will face 17th seed Pablo Curreno Busta, Spain, in 4th round on October 5, 2020.
