Patna : Novak Djokovic ( 9,545 points), Rafael Nadal (9,225 points), Roger Federer (6,950 points), Daniil Medvedev (5,920 points), and Dominic Thiem (5,085 points) remain World No 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 in the ATP rankings released on October 14, 2019.
But, Djokovic is now only 320 points ahead of Nadal after failing to defend his Shanghai Masters title and 1,000 points. He lost in the QFs at Shanghai Masters last week. Medbedev, 23, Russia, has consolidated his position at No 4 by winning the Shanghai Masters title, his second ATP Masters title after Cincinnati Masters, and 1,000 rankings points.
Matteo Berrettini, 23, Italy, has jumped 2 places to be ranked World No 11 with 2,545 points after reaching the SFs of Shanghai Masters last week. But, Borna Coric, 22, Croatia, has slipped 7 places to be ranked World No 2 with 1,540 points. Denis Shapovalov, 20, Canada, has jumped two places to be ranked World No 34 with 1,255 points. Pablo Carreno Busta, 28, Spain, has also jumped 2 ladders and is ranked World No 35 with 1,252 points.
Albert Ramos-Vinolas, 31, Spain, has jumped 4 ladders and is ranked World No 42 with 1,130 points. John Millman, 30, Australia, has jumped 6 places and is ranked World No 52 with 1,016 points. Juan Ignacio Londero, 26, Argentina, has jumped 5 places and is ranked World No 51 with 1,016 points.
Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, remains World No 82 with 660 points while Sumit Nagal, 22, India, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 128 with 435 points. Juan Pablo Varillas, 24, Peru, has jumped 77 places to be ranked World N0 161 with 319 points after winning the ATP Challenger title at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on October 14, 2019..
