Patna : World No 2 Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, and World No 7 Marin Cilic, 30, Croatia, will clash in the quarter-finals of ATP Paris Masters 1,000 points tennis tournament at Paris, France, on November 2, 2018.

Djokovic, the second seed, entered the quarter-finals after his Round of 16 opponent and World No 52 Damir Dzumhur, 26, Bosnia & Herzegovina, retired in the second set due to injury having lost the first set 1-6 and trailing 1-2 in the second set on November 1, 2018.

Cilic, the 5th seed,  defeated World No 10 Grigor Dimitrov, 27, Bulgaria, 7-6, 6-4 in the Round of 16 on November 1. Cilic served 8 Aces in the match to 7 by Dimitrov. He also won 2 break points to 1 by Dimitrov, the 9th seed. Cilic won 3 games in a row in the match to 2 Dimitrov.

World No 3 and 3rd seed Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, will play World No 14 Fabio Fognini, 31, Italy, in the Round of 16 on November 2. Federer enter the Round of 16 after his second round rival and World No 21 Milos Raonic, 27, Canada, retired before the match. Fognini entered the Round of 16 after his second round rival and World No 42 Marton Fucsovics, 26, Hungary, retired before the match on October 31, 2018.
