Patna : Seven-time champion & World No 2 Novak Djokovic, 32 Serbia, defeated World No 35 Milos Raonic, 29, Canada, in straight sets to enter the semi-finals of Australian Open (AO) 2020 at Melbourne, Australia, on January 28, 2020. Djokovic will face six-time champion and World No 3 Roger Federer, Switzerland, in semi-finals. It will be 50th meeting between Djokovic and Federer. Djokovic leads Federer 26-23 Head to Head.

Defending champion Djokovic beat 32nd seed Raonic in a tough contest 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 in 2hr 49 minutes in quarter-finals at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Park, Victoria, Australia, winning 2 break points and 3 games in a row in the match. Raonic though hammered 18 Aces in the match to just 4 by 2nd seed Djokovic. Djokovic now leads Raonic 10-0 Head to Head.

Raonic, committed 6 double faults in the match to 2 by the Serbian.Djokovic created 16 break point opportunities but could break Raonic’s service only twice. The Canadian, who had reached semi-finals of AO in 2016, won 78 service points to 75 by the Serbian. Rod Laver was watching the match.
