Bokaro ( Jharkhand) :Three students of DPS Bokaro have qualified for the second round of Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition (HOMC)- Vietnam, 2020.They are among the top 25 students selected from across India. A total of 7,092 students appeared at the competition from more than 150 schools across India.
After two rounds of rigorous test, Harsh Bihany and Rohit Verma of Grade X and Advay Kumar of Grade 9; all three students of DPS Bokaro, in Jharkhand, have made it to the top 25 All India rankers. These students will appear for an online interview and the top 6 students from the junior and the senior group will be selected to represent India in HOMC 2020.
HOMC was first organised in 2004 by the Hanoi Mathematical Society for Junior (Grade 8) and Senior (Grade 10) students with the objective to identifying and nurture mathematical talent and motivate the students at junior and senior high schools.
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, congratulated the students on their excellent success and added, “Your hard work, teachers’ blessings and parents’ prayers will surely lead you to put in your best foot forward.”
