Patna : Former World No 1 Noval Djokovic, 31, Serbia, won his fourth Wimbledon singles title on July 15, 2018, night, defeating World No 8 Kevin Anderson, 32, South Africa, in straight sets in the final. Djokovic, who had earlier won Wimbledon title in 2011, 2014, and 2015, beat Anderson 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.

The final turned out to be an anti-climax as Anderson, who had defeated top seed and 8 times champion Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, in the quarter-finals and World No 10 John Isner, 33, USA, in semi-finals, both in five-sets marathon, failed to display the same fighting spirit against Djokovic.

Anderson fired 10 Aces in the match to 6 by Djokovic. Anderson committed 5 double faults to 4 by Djokovic, who won 4 break points.
