Djokovic beats A Zverev to reach ATP Shanghai Masters final

Patna : Winner of 14 Grand Slam singles titles and World No 2 tennis player Novak Djokovic demolished World No 5 Alexander Zverev 6-2, 6-1 in the semi-finals to enter the final of Shanghai Masters tennis championship, an ATP World Tour 1,000 points tournament played on hard court at Qizhing Forest Sports City Arena, Minhang, Shanghai, China, on October 13, 2018. Djokovic, the reigning Wimbledon and US Open Champion, is aiming for his 4th Shanghai Masters title.

Incidentally, Djokovic did not serve a single Ace in the match while Zverev served 2. Djokovic, the winner of 71 ATP singles titles including 31 ATP Masters titles, won 4 break points in the match besides winning 5 games in a row. With this win, Djokovic’s ATP rankings will improve to World No 2 overtaking Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, on October 15, 2018, even if the latter defends his Shanghai Masters title.
