Djokovic, Anderson, Aliassime enter 3rd round of Wimbledon Championships

Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Novak Djokovic, Serbia, 4th seed and World No 8 Kevin Anderson, South Africa, and  World No 21 Felix Auger Aliassime, Canada, entered the third round of Wimbledon Championships at London, UK, on July 3, 2019, night.

Defending Champion Djokovic beat World No 111 Denis Kudla, 26, USA,  6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in second round. Djokovic fired 13 Aces in the match to 3 by Kudla. He won 7 break points to 2 by the American. Four- time champion Djokovic won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Kudla. He won 53 service poi nts to 35 by Kudla.

Anderson beat World No 288 Janko Tipsarevic, 35, Serbia, in four-sets 6-4, 6-7, 6-1, 6-4 in the second round. Anderson hammered 24 Aces in the match to just 3 by Tipsarevic. Anderson also won 4 break points besides winning 7 games in a row.

Aliassime, the 19th seed, beat World No 84 Corentin Moutet, France,  6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the 2nd round. The Canadian won 5 break points to 2 by Moutet. Aliassime fired 8 Aces in the match to 2 by Moutet.
