Patna : World Number 6 tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, 26, Bulgaria, will face World Number 8 David Goffin, 26, Belgium, in the final of ATP World Tour Finals at )2 arena, London, on November 19, 2017. Dimitrov defeated World Number 9 Jack Sock, 25, US, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, in the semi-finals late November 18 night (IST) to reach the finals. Both the players qualified for ATP World Tour finals for the first time in their career.
Dimitrov had topped the Pete Sampras group winning all his three matches to enter the semi-finals. Goffin shocked World Number 2 and title favourite Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, in three sets on November 18 to reach the finals. Federer had topped the Boris Becker group winning all his three matches to enter the semi-finals. This was Federer’s only fifth loss in 2017 in which he won seven titles.
