Dimitrov, Buta enter 4th round of AO 2018

Patna : World Number 3 Grigor Dimitrov, 26, Bulgaria, entered the 4th round of Australian Open (AO) 2018 defeating 30th seed Russian Andrey Rublev, 20, in four sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 overcomig a slump in the second set at Melbourne, Australia. Dimitrov was very happy after his victory in searing heat and described Rublev as a very good player. Rublev had beaten Dimitrov in the US Open in 2017.

Number 10 seed Pablo Carreno Busta, 26, Spain, defeated 23rd seed Giles Muller, 34, Luxembourg, in a tough four set match 7-6, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 to enter the round of 16. World Number 76 Andreas Seppi, 33, Italy, defeated World Number 89 Ivo Karlovic, 38, Croatia, in a tough encounter 6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7 to enter the 4th round.

In the Women’s section, Number 4 seed Elina Svitolina, Ukraine, beat talented 15 year old Marta Kostyuk, Ukraine, 6-2, 6-2, to enter the 4th round. Number 19 seed Magdalena Rybarlkova, Slovenia, defeated Kateryna Bondarenko, Ukraine, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 while Elise Mertens, Germany, defeated Alize Cornet, 27, France, 7-5, 6-4 to enter the 4th round.
