Patna : With a view to improving the performance of 76 police stations of Patna District, Central Range, Patna, DIG, Rajesh Kumar, has started Police Station Grading System. The grading system will come into force from June 24, 2018.
The performance of police stations will be rated on 4 points : Number of accused arrested in different pending cases, disposal of Special and Non-Special cases, execution of non- bailable warrants and attachment proceedings, and action taken after investigation on petitions forwarded by senior police officers after investigation.
All the 76 police stations will be graded accordingly after 15 days. The top three and the worst three performing police stations will be identified. All police officials posted at a police station will be held accountable for performance of their respective police stations hence all of them have to work as a unit.
The official of top three performing police stations will be felicitated and rewarded with Rs 10,000 cash. Al the police personnels of such police stations will get 5 days’ leave every 2 months and will be posted at more sensitive police stations in future.
On the other hand, Station House Officers (AHOs) and other police personnels of the 3 worst performing police stations will be removed and sent to policeline. They will do rifle duty patrolling and other duties from the policeline.
