Patna : The performance grading of 73 police stations (PSs) in Patna District as well as performance grades of SDPOs concerned are out. The top 3 police stations will be rewarded with a citation and cash reward of Rs 10,000 each. The entire setup of the 3 top performing police stations would be transferred to sensitive areas in future. However, the worst 3 performing police stations will have their complete set up ranging from SHO to Constables transferred to policeline. The Grading system would continue in future too.

As per the points scored, the top three performing police stations are : NTPC Police Station (73.1 points), Pipra police station (71.8 points), and Nadi ( river) police station (69.8 points), whereas the three worst performing police stations are: Gardanibagh police station (12.9 points), Kadamkuan police station (13.8 points), and Naubatpur police station (14.9 points).

The SDPO performance report has covered 11 Sub-Divisions: Paliganj (80.7 points), Masaurhi (56.2 points), Sadar  (51.8 points), Fatuha (49.4 points), Patna City (47.1 points), Law & Order sub-division (46.4 points), Secretariat (42.6 points), Danapur (40.4 points), DSP ( Town) (37.0 points), Barh (36.9 points), and Phulwarisharif (36.4 points).

The first list is based on the functioning of 73 police stations in Patna district and 11 SDPOs concerned from July 1, 2018, to July 31, 2018.

The grading system initiated by DIG, Central Range, Patna, Rajesh Kumar, has 4 basic parameters of ranking namely : arrest figures of accused in long-pending cases and number of criminals arrested,  execution of long-pending reported special and non-special cases, execution of non-bailable warrants and confiscation, probe into cases forwarded by senior officers. The list will cover performance of police stations in one month under scrutiny. Each of the 4 judging parameters would carry 25 points each resulting in 100 points up for grabs.
