Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) : Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (D) A Dodda  on November 22, 2017, stated that the coal capital will soon have an international level cricket stadium for which district administration is already on its job hoping to acquire the land for this purpose in the coming year.

Dodda said that seeing the big love for game of cricket among the people of Dhanbad, he felt that the coal capital needed  an international stadium with all modern amenities and has asked his junior officials to hunt for government land. ” We have already zeroed in on few plots of land in three blocks of  Dhabad district but  hunt for other plots is still on,” stated the DC. Dodde stated that search for big chunk of land is on at Baliapur, Nirsa, Sindri and other blocks.

Earlier, demand for such stadium was made by Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha, who personally requested the DC to search big chunk of land in Dhanbad where international sized stadium could come up which the sports lover deputy commissioner agreed to.
