Department of Post organises kite flying competition at Samastipur

Samastipur : A kite flying competition was organised by Samastipur Postal division at Patel Maidan, Samastipur, to create  awareness about `Sukanya Samridhi Yojna’ launched by the centre under `Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' programme besides other schemes of department of Post. Postal Superintendent B L Mishra presided over the function while Assistant Director( personnel), department of Post, Bihar Circle, Narsingh Mahto was the chief guest. Mahto said that ` Sukanya Samridhi Yojna’ would lead to better future of girls while Mishra described it as one of the best schemes of department of Post. So far 19,000 accounts have been opened in Samastipur district under the programme.
