Patna: The debate on trust vote sought by CM Nitish Kumar has begun in Bihar Assembly on July 28, 2017, at 11 am amidst vociferous protest by the RJD. Initiating the debate, former Deputy CM and RJD MLA from Raghopur constituency in Vaishali district Tejaswi Yadav while said that Nitish Kumar has entered into an opportunistic alliance with the BJP under a political conspiracy. Senior BJP leader and former Bihar BJP president Nand Kishore Yadav said that RJD chief Lalu Prasad only cares for his family.

The RJD has appealed for a conscience vote. Nitish needs 122 vote to win the trust vote. He has claimed support of 131 MLAs including two Independents in a 243 member House. Bihar assembly RJD chief Lalu Prasad on July 28 said Nitish has surrendered before PM Narendra Modi. Nitish made Tejaswi an excuse to return to the NDA fold.

Meanwhile, CM Nitish Kumar and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley have pacified former JD(U) president Sharad Yadav, a Rajya Sabha member, who was upset over Nitish joining hands with the BJP. Nitish spoke to him on phone.
