Muzaffarpur : Over 2.88 lakh families in Muzaffarpur district are yet to get electricity connection. Executive Engineer (EE), North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, Vijay Kumar, says work on providing electricity connection to the people was going on under eight blocks of the district.
Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh said that the state government was committed to provide power connection to all the families and the same was being given free of cost. According to a survey, there are 6,18,395 families in the district of which 3,30,212 families have got electricity connection while 2,88,183 families are yet to get it.
