Ara: With the death of one more person on Thursday evening during treatment, the death toll increased to two in Bahiyara village incident under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district. But, a minor boy is still under treatment at Ara Sadar Hospital.
A married woman Sushma Devi, 20, daughter of Rajesh Chaudhary of village Baga under Azimabad police station was married to Karan Chaudhary, son of Vaidyanath Chaudhary, of Bahiyara village under Chandi police station in 2015. In the early morning on Thursday last, husband and wife quarreled when her husband inquired about her pre- martial life and the MMS with her lover. She, in a fit of anger, sprinkled kerosene oil on her and set herself afire and then embraced her husband tightly. The couple were seriouly injured and admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital where Sushma succumbed to her injuries immediately but her husband died during treatment in the late evening the same day. Even her brother-in-law (devar) Anshu alias Chhotu, 12, who was sleeping with them in the same room, received burn injuries and is being treated at Ara Sadar Hosital.
