Patna : Delhi Capital (DC) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 7 wickets in the 2nd match of IPL 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on April 10, 2021, late night, with openers Prtithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan scoring 85 runs and 72 runs respectively. Set a target of 189, DC scored 190/3 in 18.4 overs. Shaw and Dhawan added 138 runs for the first wicket.

DC captain Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 15 in 12 balls with 2 fours. Dhawan fell to D J Bravo, for 85 runs in 54 balls hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes. Shaw fell to Shardul Thakur for 72 runs in 38 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis fell to Shardul Thakur for 14 in 9 balls with 3 fours.

DC had won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, CSK scored 188/7 in 20 overs with Suresh Raina scoring 54 in 36 balls hitting 3 fours and 4 sixes while Moeen Ali scored 36 in 24 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
