Sasaram : Twelve police personnel including the SHO Kachhawa police station in Rohtas district, were suspended on October 28, 2017, in connection with hooch tragedy at village Danwar under the police station on October 27. With the death of one more person, the death toll in the Danwar hooch tragedy increased to five on October 28. Rohtas DM, on the other hand, suspended the Excise Inspector, Raj Kishor Prasad.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on October 28 sought detail report on the matter and ordered the officials to inquire into the incident. The CM said that stern action would be taken against the officials found neglecting their duty.
Four of five deceased were identified as Uday Singh, Dhanji Singh, Harihar Singh and Kamlesh Singh. All the deceased wre residents of Danwar. Meanwhile, 12 police personnel including five police officials and the SHO, Kachhawa police station, were suspended in connection with Danwar incident.
DIG, Shahabad range, Md Rahmah has rushed to spot. He said that stern action would be taken against the erring police personnel including the SHO of Kachhawa police station area and the Chowkidar of the village.
