Saharsa : The members of SIT, which is investigating into sexual exploitation of daughter of a senior Congress leader and former minister allegedly by an automobile showroom owner Nikhil Priyadarshi, visited Sonpura Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya under Simri Bakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district on April 21, 2017, and collected xerox copies of different documents relating to her admission at the school, date of birth and her transfer certificate. The SIT team also looked into the admission register.
The dalit girl had studied at the school from 2007 to 2010. Nikhil and his father, a retired IAS officer, were arrested from Pauri Gharwal in Uttarakhand in March 2017. The SIT team from Patna stayed at the school for one hour though the team members did not speak to mediapersons. School Principal Awadhesh Kumar Singh said that the SIT team had come to gather some important information and he fully co-operated with it. The sexual exploitation of the girl came to surface in December 2016 and rocked the state. A vice-president of state congress committee Brajesh Pandey had to resign from his post.
