Patna : Around 12 unidentified criminals commited dacoity at the house of a farmer, Vijay Singh, at village Gonawandih under Nawada town police station (PS) in Nawada district, in the wee hours of August 20, and looted jewellery and cash worth Rs 15 lakh and escaped.

The criminals entered the house of Vijay singh from the rear side and barged into the house and made Vijay Singh,62, and his wife Pratima Devi, 60, hostage at gunpoint. They started looting jewellery and cash and searched for valuable items in the whole house. Out of the 12 dacoits, 9 of them had their faces covered.

SHO, Nawada Town PS, said that the criminals enterd the house of Vijay Singh around 3 am on August 20. The SHO said that the criminals were yet to be arrested though raids were on.
