Sasaram : Three motorcycle borne armed miscreants shot dead a CRPF personnel at village Khaira under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on April 18, 2017, night. Police brought the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Love affair was allegedly the reason behind the incident. An FIR was lodged with Bikramganj police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
ASP, Bikramganj Sub-division, Neeraj Kumar Singh, said that Ramanuj Tiwari, 30, of Tengara village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district, was a CRPF personnel and had come to his village on leave. On April 18, he had gone to his relative Vrishketu at village Khaira under Bikramganj police station. On April 18 night, three motorcycle borne armed miscreants entered the house of Vrishketu and fired indiscriminately on Ramanuj Tiwari and escaped under the cover of darkness. Family members rushed Tiwari to the Sub-divisional hospital but the doctor declared him brought dead.
