Bagaha: A Crocodile attacked and seriously injured Ghura  Chaudhary, 45, a resident of village Serawa, in Tirahut Canal near village Ahirwalia under Bagaha Town police station in Bagaha police district, on May 25, 2019, morning, when he was taking water from the Canal.

The crocodile attacked Ghura Chaudhary and was trying to drag him into the deep water but hearing his cry the villagers working in the adjoining fields rushed to the spot and rescued him. Chaudhary has been admitted  to Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bagaha, with multiple wounds. Hospital Incharge  Dr SP Singh said he is out of danger. Forests Department officials have been informed about the incident. The Forests Department officials are of the view that people are exposing  themselves to Crocodile attack by entering canals or rivers having Crocodiles.
