Croatia crush Argentina 3-0 in World Cup

Patna : Croatia defeated Argentina 3-0 in a Group D match of FIFA World Cup at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Russia, on June 21, 2018, late night, inflicting a massive blow to the two time champion who had drawn their first match against Iceland. It was Argentina’s heaviest defeat in the group stages since 1958 when they lost to Czechoslovakia 1-6.

Ante Rebic, Luka Modric, and Ivan Rakitic, all midfielders,  scored goals for Croatia in the 53rd, 80th, and 91st minutes respectively. Argentina supestar and forward Lionel Messi failed to live up to his reputation once again in the tournament. At half time, the score was 0-0.
