Motihari : Criminals posing as cops looted huge Nepali currency of the face value of Rs 25 lakh from a businessman of Dhaka in East Champaran district Rameshwar Prasad Jaiswal, a native of village Mahangwa under Chainpur police station in the district, on March 17, 2017, near Bhaserwa Bridge on Ghorasahan – Dhaka main road when he was returning to Dhaka by a bus.

Jaiswal was returning to Dhaka after collecting money from an agency at Ghorasahan market and had just boarded the bus. Sources said that one of criminals, who was already in bus, posing as cop asked Jaiswal to get down from the bus near Bhaserwa saying he was a liquor dealer. Some bike borne criminals were already waiting there. They put Jaiswal on bike on the pretext of taking him to Ghorasahan police station. But, after covering some distance, the criminals dropped him at a place and looted cash from his bag and escaped. SHO, Ghorasahan police station, Amrendra Kumar reached the spot to inquire into the incident
