Saharsa : Criminals looted Rs 45,000 cash from the dicky of a bike after breaking open it near Badi Durga Mandir at Simribakhtiarpur market in Saharsa district on May 15, 2017, afternoon when its owner Sanjay Thakur and his wife Shobha Devi were drinking liquid Sattu at a shop nearby after parking their two-wheeler there. The couple, residents of village Balrampur, lodged an FIR with Simribakhtiarpur police station in this connection.

Shobha Devi said she had drawn Rs 45,000 from Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank at 3.15 pm and reached near Durgasthan on their bike where they decided to drink liquid Sattu after putting the cash in the dicky. When they reached near the bike they saw the criminals escaping from there.
