Criminals loot Rs 25 lakh cash from Fish Trader & Rs 7 lakh from SBI in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur  : Loot of Rs 25 lakh cash from a top Fish Trader of North Bihar Mohammad Irfan  under Gaighat Police Station and another Rs 7 lakh cash from an SBI Branch located in Bhikhanpura locality under Muzaffapur Town Police station by different gangs of armed criminals rocked Muzaffarpur District on September 27, 2019.

Four bike borne criminals intercepted Fish trader of North Bihar Mohammad Irfan near Maithi Chowk under Gaighat police station in Muzaffarpur District and looted Rs 25 lakh cash from him at gun point on September 27, 2019, and escaped unchallenged. Angry over collapse of law and order, the villagers and traders blocked the road  demanding immediate arrest of the criminals involved in the loot.

Gaurav Pandey, SDPO, Muzaffarpur East, said that Fish trader  Mohammad Irfan was returning from  fish market  after
collecting money from retailers . As soon as he reached near Maithi Chowk ,the criminals  intercepted his bike and looted the cash.  Police are conducting raids  to arrest the criminals, the SDPO added.

In another incident, around six young  armed criminals  entered an SBI Branch in Bhikhanpura  locality of Muzaffarpur town
and  looted Rs 7 lakh cash from the bank. The criminals also looted cash, mobile phones, and gold chains from five customers  of the bank  who were present at the time of  dacoity.

According to police sources, when the criminals entered in the bank only 4  bank  employees were on duty and 5
customers were standing at the bank counters . The criminals  made hostage  3 bank employees at point of gun  and thereafter
dragged  Dilip Goswami, Branch Manager of the bank  from his chamber to  the cash counter, and looted cash. SSP, Muzaffarpur, Manoj Kumar, directed the police teams to  seal the district and  conduct raids to arrest the criminals.
