Bettiah : Three armed criminals accosted Rahul Kumar, Cashier of  a business establishment, and looted  a bag containing
Rs 15 lakh from him near power house in Gulab Bag locality of Battiah town, headquarters of West Champaran District in North Bihar, in broad daylight on November 11, 2019. Rahul was shot at by the criminals when he resisted them. He fell unconscious on the road and the criminals escaped with the bag containing cash.
DSP, Bettiah, Pankaj Rawat, said that the injured Rahul Kumar was initially admitted to M J K Hospital, Bettiah, but as his was seriously injured in the firing so he was referred  to a private Nursing Home at Motihari, headquarters of neighbouring East Champaran District.

Rahul was going to bank to deposit the cash of Sandeep Kesan, a Bettiah businessman, when the criminals accosted him. A CCTV footage of the place located  near the place of occurrence helped police identify the criminals and raids are on to arrest them, DSP Rawat added.
